Growing up, I was involved in buddy programs with SPED classes from elementary schools. Over many years, volunteering allowed me to develop leadership and communication skills, responsibility, but most importantly, I learned the value of creating bonds across different generations of people who need care and support, students with special needs to hospice patients.
